Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has unveiled the Government’s latest business and youth intervention, the Business and Employment Assistance Programme, during a launch event in Sunyani on Monday, December 11,2023.

Managed by the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), the initiative aims to support 10,000 businesses owned by young Ghanaians, facilitating the employment of 20,000 youth, with their salaries covered by the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

Dr. Bawumia emphasised that the jobs expected to be created under this initiative will contribute to the existing 2.1 million jobs the government says it has already generated, fostering sustainability and growth for these businesses while providing additional job opportunities.
