The monument, prominently placed in front of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, was revealed during the President’s recent “Thank You” tour of the Western Region.

The unveiling ceremony was led by Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, who highlighted several landmark projects initiated under President Akufo-Addo’s administration.

These include the ongoing rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle — projects that have significantly enhanced the region’s infrastructure.

Minister Darko-Mensah praised President Akufo-Addo for spearheading major developments, particularly the initiation of a petroleum hub project in Western Nzema.

This hub, once completed, is expected to generate over 780,000 jobs, offering substantial opportunities to the region’s youth.

On roads, he noted the success of the District Road Improvement Project, a government initiative that has facilitated the construction of many roads.
