Disregard threats and use Bawumia’s posters comfortably, says Pusiga Naba

The chief of Pusiga, Naba Tambisbaalug Ibrahim Aguri, has ordered NPP members in the area to project their presidential candidate’s posters comfortably following attempts by some youth groups in the area to ban the posters of the NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Gunshots were heard in Pusiga last week following the projection of posters of the vice-president in some parts of the town.
Following that incident, the Upper East regional minister, Hafiz Bin Salih, paid a courtesy call on the chief of area to brief him on the intention of the regional security council pertaining to that matter.
The regional minister warned that the regional security council would not hesitate to place a curfew and other security measures on Pusiga if residents security deteriorates in the area.
Some youth in the area accused the vice-president of meddling in the conflict between Kusasis and Mamprusis in Bawku, which is why they are attempting to ban the campaign of the vice president in the area.

They claim that the vice-president is backing the Mamprusis because they are his kinsmen.
Calm has since returned to the area following that incident. Businesses and other activities have returned to normalcy.
