Addressing concerns that arose from his unannounced campaign activities, Mr Agyapong expressed his regret for not keeping party members informed, stating, “It didn’t go well with some of you, and I want to apologise for not informing you before I went on the campaign tour.”

He reassured the NPP that he remained committed, dispelling rumours of his resignation or intentions to run as an independent candidate.

With the presidential primaries behind them, Mr Agyapong emphasised the importance of unity within the NPP.

“As long as I am a member of the party, irrespective of what happened in the presidential primaries, I believe it is best for all of us to come together and rally support behind the party,” he said.

In a gesture of reconciliation, Mr Agyapong called upon his supporters to use the occasion of his birthday as an opportunity to mend fences within the party.

He also reached out to the supporters of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, urging both factions to come together in support of Dr Bawumia’s leadership and the NPP’s collective goals.
